Exciting Work Happening in Hamtramck Focus of SaveMICity Podcast Episode

The League’s Anthony Minghine talks with Hamtramck City Manager Kathy Angerer and the League’s Shanna Draheim about amazing work happening in the City of Hamtramck.

The most recent episode of our SaveMICity podcast takes a look at some incredible work happening in one of southeast Michigan’s most historic and unique community.

Keyworth and Hamtramck stadiums have a storied history in the City of Hamtramck – Michigan’s most dense and diverse city located in a small two-square-mile-area surrounded by the City of Detroit.

The Michigan Municipal League has partnered with the City of Hamtramck, Hamtramck Public Schools, Detroit City Football Club, and others to leverage an $800,000 grant from the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation.

On this week’s podcast, the League’s Anthony Minghine and Shanna Draheim sit down with Hamtramck City Manager Kathy Angerer and talk about this exciting project and where it’s headed.

The grant and related work aims to restore the stadiums and create a comprehensive recreation plan to serve the community, the schools, and the region.
